Everything has been prepped and the event can begin - then someone accidentally knocks over a stand and the real fun begins. To ensure that valuable pieces of equipment - microphones, speakers, spotlights and more - are stable and secure, the Gravity® portfolio now includes the new BG SB sandbags - individually fillable bags for easy attachment to stand legs. In addition to stage use, the BG SB bags also ensure greater safety in film and photography work - for example when a diffuser or softbox needs to be raised to great height over a C-stand The bags also stabilize equipment when using Content Creator and Videocaster, which for optical reasons work with a long boom arm or a lighter table stand. The BG SB sandbags are available in two versions: SMALL for mic stands and LARGE for C-stands and loudspeaker and lighting stands. Handling the bags is as easy as it is effective. Each bag has two inner bags that can be filled with sand, gravel or other materials as desired - and fit perfectly into the two recesses. The BG SB sandbag is then simply set down on the stand base or leg to hold the stand down firmly and reliably. The carrying handles offer additional comfort so that the bags can be gripped and repositioned with one hand.
To ensure that potentially heavily filled bags do not slide down on steep stand legs, they have a special non-slip mesh surface on the underside. In this way, the BG SB can be quickly and easily attached, removed and set back down again during hectic changeovers. (Velcro fasteners and straps are not necessary to fasten the bag to the stand leg). If strong winds are an issue, you can use the integrated metal eyelets on the corners to securely connect the bags to the stand using cable ties or rope.
For worry-free use on open-air stages and restaurant terraces, or for outdoor film shoots, the BG SB features a water-repellent outer material made of 168D nylon, which makes sure that the sand or gravel inside do not become moist.
